Dynamo Engineering were contracted by Scotland's largest provider of non-domestic water and waste water services and were integral to this project success from the outset with the initial client meetings at their headquarters in Aberlour. Thereafter Dynamo Engineering gave engineering support with the design and build for the proposed waste water treatment plant ensuring the water generated from the manufacture of biscuits was treated to within the consent limit imposed by Scottish Water for their sewer discharge.
The plant consisted of a plant room Kiosk housing 5m3/hr Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) Unit and chemical floculator with associated chemical dosing pumps. Tank Farm consisted of 30m^3 Balance Tank, Biological treatment via 3No above ground Saturated Aerated Filters (SAF), 25m^3 sludge Tank and 15m^3 recycle tank. Dynamo Engineering were responsible for the full mechanical installation of all process equipment and pipework along with all the AutoCAD drawings of the plant.
Project Value: £80K
Completion: Nov 2015
The duration of project was longer than originally intended as the client increased the scope of works as they wished to increase the proposed flow rate to the plant due to an expansion within their manufacturing plant. This phased installation altered the site layout and the final layout was needed to be optimised given the increase in additional process equipment required. This was done in a controlled manor ensuring the final plant looked and performed as required
